“The ability to fully develop and produce its ceramic materials and articles allows ARCH customize, adapt and tailor its high-quality products to the needs of its customers.” - MISSION

> Em 2002 This opened up a market opportunity for the production of large-scale sanitary ware with angular and flat shapes, characteristics that would be very difficult to achieve using Vitrified Porcelain used in sanitary ware, given the level of mechanical deformation and contraction of this ceramic material.

CERAMICS

Production in Stoneware (Fine Fire Clay), an option already used by many manufacturers due to reduced deformation, was also considered a bad option, as its weak mechanical resistance, high weight and high water absorption prevented the guarantee of quality equivalent to that of porcelain.

In this context, the alternative was to move towards creation of a material completely new capable of overcoming the limitations of existing materials until then.

Its 100% Portuguese production focuses on the development of new materials – Gresanit, Highcer and Highpor – and technical solutions geared towards sustainability and environmental efficiency. The brand’s knowledge of the delicate ceramic manufacturing processes Valadares, are the reason for the dominance of Ceramic processes “Hand made” that today the ARCH is the holder. To this argument he adds the exceptional condition of durability attested by 20 years technical warranty.

CERAMIC TAPS

Ceramics offer great potential for developing solutions for non-sanitary applications. The project of ARCH From the outset, it has been considering taking advantage of this potential to develop a range of articles and business vectors that complement its sanitary supply. The ceramics history and the flexibility of its innovation structure are determining factors in achieving this objective.

In 2019 we started a project that aimed to production of ceramic components for taps, using ceramics as a partial replacement for currently used metal components. The ceramic function would be essentially aesthetic at this stage, taking advantage of the huge range of finishes and also the ability to shape shapes only available with ceramics.

Thus the series was born Luna na ARCH, with important design inspiration from the prestigious Architect Luis Rebelo de Andrade, a partnership that created the first series of taps with the integration of ceramics in their composition in Portugal.
