Casa Brandão is a renovation project of a bourgeois house, dating from 1904, located in the Burgães area. A project developed by the studio EVA | evolutionary architecture.
The intervention restored the main house, converted an external annex into a technical area and redefined the exterior spaces. The project preserved the classicist elegance of the interiors by applying original wallpapers, curtains and electrical elements, combining them with contemporary simplicity.
It also stands out for its rare decorative elements, such as painted skirting boards, paneling and shutters, testimonies of the bourgeois style that was intended to be kept intact. The use of products Valadares was essential to reinforce this classic identity, ensuring the authenticity and refinement of the finishes.
Two aspects were crucial in the renovation: the installation of “island” bathrooms, preserving the original decorative elements, and the harmonization between contemporary details with the priority reuse of existing furniture and lighting.
With a privileged location, close to a charming river beach, the villa provides a unique experience, and is currently used as a Local accommodation. Thus, it is possible to experience the atmosphere of this space through platforms such as Booking.com and Airbnb, where classic charm and modern comfort meet in perfect harmony.
