Rua do Ouro, one of the busiest streets in Lisbon, strictly follows the Detailed Plan for Safeguarding Baixa Pombalina, where the Hotel Art Legacy.
Architect Luís Rebelo de Andrade, from the RA studio, is leading the project to restore the building's original design, enhancing and protecting its architectural heritage. This includes restoring the arched openings on the ground floor façade, using modern materials from the period such as glass and iron, using highly realistic naturalistic bas-reliefs and also using metal roofs – in this case the attic floor.
With a special highlight on the washbasin Apolo e Kobe. These pieces embody the fusion between classic refinement and contemporary comfort, making it the focal point of admiration and distinction of the space. With their dynamic shapes and sculptural design, they bring a sense of harmony and timeless elegance to the building.
