Rua do Ouro, one of the busiest streets in the city of Lisbon, stands out for its strict adherence to the Detailed Plan for Safeguarding the Baixa Pombalina. This is the case of the building where the Hotel Art Legacy – an original building from the 20s in a privileged location.
The architectural project, executed by RA studio\\ by architect Luís Rebelo de Andrade, seeks to restore the building's original design, in an effort to enhance and safeguard the architectural heritage of the period. This includes restoring the arched openings on the ground floor façade, using modern materials of the period such as glass and iron, using highly realistic naturalistic bas-reliefs and also using metal roofs – in this case the attic floor.
With a special highlight on the washbasin Apolo e Kobe. These pieces embody the fusion between classic refinement and contemporary comfort, making it the focal point of admiration and distinction of the space. With their dynamic shapes and sculptural design, they bring a sense of harmony and timeless elegance to the building.
